A global public comment period is now underway to gather input on exposure drafts for the first phase, ‘Employment practices and conditions’ of the GRI Topic Standard Project for Labor. The proposed changes to the phase 1 of labor standards seeks organizations to provide greater transparency on employment practices and working conditions, a suite of proposed changes address policies on employment relationships, pay and working hours, and how businesses handle significant changes for workers.

GRI recently hosted two global launch events to mark the start of the public comment period for the phase 1 of Employment practices and conditions’ labor draft standard. Building on the success of these events GRI will be hosting global Q&A sessions on the 18^th and 19^th of September  2024, to facilitate more in-depth and interactive engagement with participants on the draft.

Participants will be able to acquire clarity on how to participate in the PCP process, raise key questions or provide feedback in real-time with the GRI team and external experts on the draft, allowing for greater insight generation and knowledge sharing.
